Is there funding for first aid courses, and can non-citizens sign up?
Some Red Cross courses are funded at 50% to 70% for citizens, PRs and LTVP+ holders; some community courses are open only to citizens and PRs, so check each listing.
According to the Singapore Red Cross course pages, Standard First Aid (SFA) and Child First Aid (CFAC) are funded: 50% off the course fee for Singapore Citizens aged 21 to 39, Permanent Residents aged 21 and above, and Long Term Visitor Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders; 70% off for Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above. Citizens aged 25 and above can use SkillsFuture Credit for the rest.
The funding table does not list other passes (such as DP or a regular LTVP); those families can check the fee with the Red Cross Academy on 6664 0500 before registering. The CPR+AED course and the child and infant first aid workshop list only a full fee, with no funding. Their entry requirements cover education and fitness, and do not mention nationality.
People's Association (OnePA) community first aid courses set their own conditions for each session: some are only for Singapore Citizens and PRs, some only for residents of that area, and some require participants to be 14 or older. Read the description of each session before signing up.
