What is myResponder?

myResponder is an SCDF mobile app. Once you register as a Community First Responder (CFR), it alerts you to cardiac arrest cases and minor fires nearby, so you can go and perform CPR or use an AED before the ambulance crew arrives. Responding is entirely voluntary.

You choose the alert radius by how you travel: 400 m on foot, 800 m by bicycle or 1.5 km by vehicle. The app also shows the AEDs near you and has short e-learning modules on lifesaving skills.

It helps even if you do not register: the Call 995 button sends your location to SCDF automatically, which is especially useful in parks or on trails where the address is unclear. You can register with Singpass or an SMS one-time password; users under 18 need parental consent.
