What is a COP (cut-off point)?

A school's cut-off point (COP) is the PSLE score of the last student posted to that school in each Posting Group in the previous year's Secondary 1 posting. MOE's SchoolFinder shows each school's score range from the previous year.

Treat it as a reference only. Results and school choices differ every year, so a COP can move up or down by a few points.

Meeting the COP does not guarantee a place. When students with the same PSLE score compete for the last places, the tie-breakers are, in order: citizenship (Singapore Citizens first, then Permanent Residents), the order of school choices, and finally computerised balloting.
