What is Direct School Admission (DSA)?

Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec) lets P6 pupils apply to secondary schools based on talents such as sports, the arts, debate, science and maths, languages, uniformed groups and leadership, not just PSLE results. Pupils without prior experience may also apply.

For 2026: applications ran from 6 May to 2 June; interviews or trials by 28 August; pupils rank up to 3 school choices from 19 to 23 October; results are expected on 24–25 November.

Once admitted, a pupil cannot submit school choices in S1 posting or transfer after PSLE results are out, and still needs a PSLE score that qualifies for the Posting Group the school offers.
