How is the 1km / 2km distance measured?

When a school has more P1 applicants than places, priority goes by citizenship and home-school distance category: within 1km, 1–2km, and beyond 2km.

The distance is not measured along roads. It is the shortest distance from any point on the school boundary to the outline of the building you live in. The address used is the parents' residential address on their NRIC.

Check it with the Singapore Land Authority's OneMap School Query service. Categories can change from year to year, so check again in your child's registration year. A child admitted with distance priority must live at that address for at least 30 months.
