How are MOE Kindergartens linked to primary schools?

MOE Kindergartens (MKs) are located in primary schools. Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident children in an MK can register in Phase 2A of P1 registration for the primary school where their MK is located.

This is not a guaranteed place. Admission depends on the number of applicants and vacancies that year; if there are more applicants than places, balloting applies.

MKs take in children once a year. The 2026 registration ran from 23 to 31 March for K1 in 2027, for children born between 2 January 2022 and 1 January 2023, with outcomes emailed by 1 June.
